Donated to us by Heather Vinson and Laurie Ritterschoffer in October 2004. Some say she can be a little strong willed but she is great with our riders! She has made several trips to the Special Olympics. |
|
Donated to us in May 2004 with his then pasture mate, Chief. Buckwheat currently is a companion to one of our retired therapeutic riding horses and enjoys being groomed by our volunteers. |
|
Once the boss over his only pasture mate, Buckwheat, Chief had some adjusting to do—which we (and his equine “friends”) helped him along with. As a new addition to our program, he is learning the way to behave but still has some to learn. |
|
One of our best volunteers, Suriya has been at the for over 13 years and still going strong! She is definitely a sweetheart in our eyes. She is loved by all and, we are told, even has a place setting at the table of one of our riders during dinner time. |
|
Donated to us by Ruth Bishop in October 2004. He was once a Cutting Horse Reserve Champion. Due to an injury, which is now healed, he is enjoying his therapeutic riders and relaxation time. |

Norton I believe used to be the biggest guy at the farm but he may have been beaten by George. Like George though, Norton is great for our bigger, more experienced riders. Additionally, he is very well behaved when taken to horse shows or to the Special Olympics. |

Comet was a dedicated volunteer with our program. He will be greatly missed!! Feb—2010 |

A little “round” when he first came, Nathan now is looking great and ready for his challenges. A little feisty with his equine “friends” but nice to the humans he encounters—perhaps because they are the source of food?? Just a guess. |

It costs over $1,500/year/horse for board, feed, and vet care for our therapeutic riding horses.
Any help you would like to offer would be greatly appreciated! |

Donated from Hunting Ground Farm, Keeper has been with us for a while and is now in the retirement field enjoying the green grass and his new barn. He shares space with George and can often be found sharing the same stall with his pasture mate when looking for a little shade away from the flies. |

Although Duke is not one of our horses up for adoption, he is a great addition to our volunteer list. He is owned by one of our volunteers and is very patient and understanding with all of our human volunteers and riders of all ages. |
